Two Licenses Suspended During Canada Day R.I.D.E. Check

Police stop about 1,700 cars during R.I.D.E. check in St. Catharines

Two drivers had their licenses suspended after a Canada Day RIDE check in St. Catharines.

Police stopped about 1700 cars, and asked drivers if they had consumed any alcohol or drugs before driving.

28 drivers took a breathalyzer test, and two samples resulted in an "alert."

Their licenses were suspended for three days.

Police say several tickets were also issued for various traffic offences.
