Standardized proof of vaccination now available to residents of several provinces who wish to travel, including Ontario.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the country is launching a standardized proof of vaccination system.
The new pan-Canadian vaccine passport, which will be issued through the provinces and territories, will include details such as your vaccination history, your name and date of birth.
So far, several provinces and territories have put the national standard into action, including Ontario, Yukon, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
Trudeau also noted the other provinces have agreed to the system and are in the midst of coming online.
Canadians traveling domestically and internationally will be able to use the proof of vaccination system.
As well, travelers returning to the country can use the vaccine passport with the ArriveCAN mobile app.
