St. Catharines Residents Can Now Buy Beach Parking Passes

Beach parking permits can now be bought for $15 for the entire season

Good news for St. Catharines residents who enjoy the beach.

Residents can now apply for a $15 beach parking pass.

From May 1st until September 30th, residents with a permit can park on Sunset Beach and Lakeside Park when paid parking is in effect.

"The system helps to offset costs associated with the management of St. Catharines’ beaches. The revenue generated from the program makes sure that the associated costs don’t shift to the tax levy or negatively impact the parking reserve," said Chief Administrative Officer Dave Oakes. "We are very impressed with the success we had with the system last year and we are looking forward to the 2023 beach season."

Permit holders will not experience time limits or hourly charges.

Beach parking permits are limited to two per household.

If you can't fill out an online application, you can head over to City Hall with supporting documentation.

Homeowners are advised to bring a copy of their vehicle registration as well as their tax roll number.

Tenants will need proof of residency, such as a lease agreement or a utility bill, as well as their vehicle registration.
