The SIU is investigating after a woman died in a holding cell in Niagara Falls.
The NRP arrested her in the Kitchener Street and Slater Ave area Wednesday evening.
She left her cell for a tele-bail hearing yesterday afternoon and she was found unresponsive hours later.
Niagara EMS were called to the scene, and the woman was pronounced dead.
She was 24-years-old and an autopsy will be taking place in Toronto today.
The SIU has assigned two investigators and one forensic investigator to the case.
