People 80 and older will soon be able to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.

Retired General Rick Hillier, who is heading the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Task Force, says the province is looking to begin vaccinating people 80 and older on March 22nd.

A website and a telephone number to book appointments are slated to be available on March 15th.

Those aged 75 and older will be able to book vaccination appointments on April 15th, and anyone 70 and older can do the same effective May 1st.

People 65 and older should be able to book appointments in June, and people 60+ can book effective July 1st.

Hillier also says that essential workers should be able to get a shot in May, but no details were provided on which essential workers will be considered first in line for vaccines.
