Niagara Public Health Introduces New COVID Safety Measures

Niagara Public Health is putting forth new measures in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

When food services are allowed to open again, local restaurants, bars and other food and service operators will once again ask diners if they have any symptoms of illness.

Diners will also be asked if they are only dining with people they live with or persons necessary to maintaining mental and physical health.

Additionally, effective Monday, February 22nd, retail businesses and shopping malls will be required to actively monitor and ensure compliance with physical distancing and masking requirements.

This also applies to line-ups outside these places.

Niagara Public Health says that while cases are declining in the area, there is worry from experts about a third wave arriving soon due in large parts to new variants.
