Niagara is in the Red

Niagara became one of nine regions in the province to change colour just after midnight today.

That means you can get a haircut, a mani-pedi and you can go to a restaurant to eat or have a drink.

However there are still restrictions in place:

Limits for all organized public events and social gatherings, where physical distancing can be maintained:

5 people indoors
25 people outdoors

Limits for religious services rites or ceremonies, including wedding services and funeral services, where physical distancing can be maintained (applies in any venue other than a private dwelling):
30% capacity of the room indoors

100 people outdoors

Restaurant, bars and other food and drink establishments can reopen with 10 people allowed inside at any one time and only four per table. (In Niagara all four must be from the same household.)

Buffets, dancing, singing. live performances and adult entertainment is prohibited.

Personal care services can reopen as long as they don't require customers or guests to remove their mask or face covering.

Capacity limits for supermarkets, grocery stores, convenience stores and pharmacies increase to 75 percent.

Capacity for all other retailers expands to 50 percent.

Sports and recreational facilities can resume but there are capacity limits with 10 people only in classes and 10 people in areas with weights or exercise equipment.

Team sports can’t be practiced or played except for training, no games or scrimmages allowed

There are still tight restrictions on casinos, bingo halls and gaming establishments.

Capacity is limited to 10 people in total indoors.

Cinemas and performing arts facilities remain closed.
