Event will be held Thursday at the St. Catharines Farmer's Market

The St. Catharines Harvest Pie Festival is taking place on Thursday.

The festival will take over the farmer's market from noon until 3.

Five dollars from the sale of each pie will support a local charity. Nine-inch family-sized pies will be sold for $25 each, and hand-held pies will be priced at $15 each.

For each pie sold, a $5 donation will be made towards a local charity of the baker or vendor's choice.

There will also be live music and a free selfie booth.

"We are delighted to partner with the Downtown Association and the Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre as we plan a Harvest Pie Festival for the community," says Deanna Chakarova, community and market coordinator for the City. "This event will provide a great opportunity for locals to come together and enjoy delicious pies while supporting local charities."

Attendees can register in advance for a chance to win a free pie.
