Premier Doug Ford says the Province will be announcing more COVID-19 restrictions tomorrow.
ONTARIO - Premier Doug Ford hinted today that more restrictions are coming in the Province of Ontario.
Ford says he saw the same news coverage as everyone else over the weekend, with shots of malls packed and people going out for non essential shopping.
"I think we made a massive move last week by basically shutting down the entire province, that was huge, shutting down thousands of businesses, that I hate doing but we are going to have further restrictions moving forward very quickly."
The Public Health table has recommended a stay at home order for hot spot regions. Ford says they will be announcing more restrictions to hot spot areas in the coming days.
"We have to focus on where we see the problem, three regions, York, Toronto and Peel represent 60% of the COVID cases, so when you have an inferno going on somewhere, you have to turn the hoses there. We have to protect the entire province but we are really focusing on the hot areas."
Ford says they will be sending mobile vaccine units into hot areas, including factories and warehouses where the spread is rampant.
