Daylight Savings Time Ends this Weekend

Spring ahead in the spring and fall back in the fall. Daylight Savings time is ending this weekend, so we’ll get another hour of sleep Saturday night.

While your going around your home updating the time, fire officials across Niagara think it’s a great opportunity to check the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

Homeowners should replace the batteries in their smoke alarms every six months and test them once a month.

Smoke alarms have to be located on every level of the home and outside all sleeping areas.

Carbon monoxide alarms also have to be located outside all sleeping areas.
