Lisa D's Health Tip: Bacon and salt and pop---OH MY!

If your go-to foods include bacon, salt, red meat and pop, you could be setting yourself up for an early death thanks to something called cardiometabolic disease. Almost half of all deaths caused by heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes can be squarely blamed on diet -- one that has too much red meat and pop and too few fruits and vegetables, among other things. You should either avoid or limit salt, processed meats (such as cold cuts and bacon), red meat and sugary drinks!
