Lena's Wednesday Buzz!

Here are the celebrity stories I talked about today on The Mike and Lena Show!

Actress Busy Philipps is throwing new accusations at James Franco! It's over an incident that happened years ago on the show ‘Freaks and Geeks.’ In her memoir, she says they were filming a scene where her character gently hits Franco in his chest while they’re talking. That’s when Franco allegedly broke character, grabbed both her arms, screamed in her face, “DON’T EVER TOUCH ME AGAIN!” and threw her to the ground! She says he apologized the next day, after being forced to by the show’s producers and director, but was never formally reprimanded.

If you think the moon landing was faked, the people who actually filmed a fake moon landing have a message for you. Damien Chazelle, the director of ‘First Man,’ about the life of Neil Armstrong, says his experience with the movie convinced him the moon landing was real. He says, “If it's this hard to re-create a five-minute version of this event 50 years later… to create a live stream of this event in 1969? It would've been harder to fake this than to actually do it.” (Imagine my surprise when I found out my co-host Mike is a moon-landing conspiracy theorist. He says he has "questions." Seriously?!)

‘Making a Murderer’ was a global phenomenon when it came out in 2015, and now we finally have a continuation to the story. Steven Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassey are still fighting to overturn their murder convictions. (The original series took 10 years to make. This one... just a couple.)

Remember how ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn was fired by Marvel? (He posted offensive Tweets years ago.) Well, he’s joined the competition! Warner Brothers/DC has hired Gunn to write, and possibly direct, the next ‘Suicide Squad’ movie! (Maybe he can make it, you know, good?)
